For this project, I felt really inspired by "The Missing Voice" by Janet Cardiff and wanted to do something similar to Joel's inner monologue in the beginning scenes of the film, “Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind”. I wanted the theme to be reminiscent, lonely, vulnerable, and genuine. I initially wanted the voiceover to feel like the listener is listening in on someone's thoughts without actually knowing or meeting them; however, the intercom effect made it feel more like you're listening to a piece of media someone made for you or because of you which felt more intimate.
